Some show results

Some results from the most recent shows: Todd Crawford and Sinful Cat (WR This Cats Smart) were 5.5 pts back heading into the final cowwork in the NRCHA Derby finals. Leading after two events (herd and reinwork) was Todd Bergen and Very Shiney over 2nd place The One Time and third Docs Catty Jo. After a superb run down the fence Crawford and Sinful Cat scored a 224 winning the cowwork and securing the Derby win with a combined 660.5 pts. 1/2 pt behind, claiming reserve was Docs Catty Jo & Corey Cushing. Early leader Very Shiney and Bergen fell back tio 3rd with a modest 216 in the cowwork. (Actually looked at a 3/4 yearling brother to Sinful Cat last year by Cats Merada - Sinful Playgirl, but nothing came of that.)

In Oklahoma the Non-Pro and Open wrapped up last night with the 4 year old and 5/6 year old Open finals. George C Merada (Cats Merada) & John Wold secured the win in the 5/6 yo division for owner Furst Ranch. A 224 pt run held off Super Stakes Classic champ Cat Man Blue and Sean Flynn with 0.5 pts to spare!

Good to see Waltons Rocking W Ranch Sallycats Hot making the finals and earning a check. A very nice mare with a lot of fancy action in her.

Oklahoma seems to be where Arbuckle Mtn Futurity champions, Once In A Blu Boon & James Payne are at their best earning another championship last night. A 221 was what it took to hold off reserv champ Little Kitty Sista and Jonathan Rogers scoring 218.5. Once In A Blu Boon is closely related to both my fillies sires, Wild Thing DNA and Peeka Pep. His sire is Peptoboonsmal and dam is Autumn Boon making them 3/4 siblings! Wild Thing is by Smart Little Lena-Autumn Boon (Dual Pep-Royal Blue Boon) and Peeka Pep is ofcourse by Peptoboonsmal-Peek A Boon (Smart Little Lena-Royal Blue Boon)

Gave Annelies trotter mare Ritzy's Dream another workout on the Straightaway last night. She feels really strong and the work at the racetrack last weekend did her good. Will try to alternate alittle here in the coming weeks riding my two fillies and driving Ritzy every other day. I just don't have the time working all three when I get home from the office at night.

Hopefully we'll have some more news in the horse department here in a few day's. We'll keep you posted!
