Cold, cold, cold!
The temps been dropping steady since late November. We´ve been having January weather here for about 2-3 weeks, meaning -15C (5F). Lots of snow, usually in November we have lots of rain and temps swinging between freezing and not too bad. On the god side, NO MUD! on the not so good, waterlines freezing with leaks and stuff as a result. The horses look good though. The mares are quiet and cuddly as usual this time of year. They like beeing fussed with unlike summer when they are hardly catchable. Will start working in earnest with Cat this weekend. Her leg looks good, just a little bump left of that injury to the extensor tendon and the pastern feels back to normal. She´s full of energy and needs to do something.
Will continue working Timber too. Hitting the trail with him and also this weekend we´re moving the Highland Cows wich will give Brady something to do.
If there´s time I´ll start working on a new bosal also, using the reata core with roo sides and rawhide nose. Hopefully it´ll turn out nice and soft, something for Cat as she´s one of the more sensetive horses I´ve had.
